Meet Pete! / Private Exhibition
We are delighted to share highlights from our very first OPEN DAY and exclusive exhibition at “Flow Lab,” our atelier nestled in a beautifully renovated 70-year-old traditional Japanese house. This house, thoughtfully designed and lovingly restored by Peter over the past six years, became the perfect setting for this special event, held on July 21-22 in both our studio and home gallery.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us, expressed interest, and supported us—especially the wonderful community of Fujumachi Tomisaki. Despite initial concerns over a rainy forecast, the skies cleared just in time for us to welcome our guests with open arms and sunny weather.
Although some areas of the renovation are still in progress, we were excited to showcase the newly completed garden, an exquisite project brought to life over three years by TSUBAKI, renowned nationwide for their expertise in plant and landscape design.
The OPEN DAY provided a rare and cherished opportunity to connect with our guests on a personal level, sharing insights into our creations, the house's restoration journey, and a variety of other engaging topics.
Given the warm weather, we hope everyone enjoyed the refreshing cold drinks, locally crafted Toyama beer, and the light snacks we prepared to complement the summer day.
Guests also witnessed our craft firsthand, with Peter offering a live demonstration of our meticulous techniques.
It was an honor to showcase the intricate details of our work—details that are often challenging to convey fully through exhibitions alone. We were profoundly moved by the warmth and kindness extended by everyone who attended our inaugural OPEN DAY.
While our busy schedules make it difficult to host such events regularly, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Until then, we look forward to creating more unforgettable memories together!
